75Club (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the attendance tracking service:

  • Account Information: Email address, name, college name, and semester — provided during sign-up and profile setup.
  • Attendance Data: Your daily attendance records (present/absent/cancelled/holiday) per subject, along with subject preferences and class schedules.
  • Gamification Data: XP points, levels, streaks, badges earned, and referral codes — all tied to improving your experience.
  • Device Token: A push notification token (collected only if you enable daily reminders) used solely to deliver reminder notifications.
  • Analytics: Anonymous usage data (screens viewed, features used) via Firebase Analytics. No personal information is sent to analytics.
We do NOT collect:Location data, contacts, photos, SMS, call logs, or any sensitive personal information. The app requires no unnecessary permissions.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To calculate attendance percentages and bunk budgets per subject
  • To provide the daily decision (“Should I go today?”) based on your attendance data
  • To gamify attendance tracking with XP, streaks, levels, and badges
  • To send optional daily reminder notifications at 5 PM (disabled by default)
  • To process referral rewards and ad-free periods
  • To improve the app through anonymous analytics
  • To communicate with you regarding support requests or account-related matters

3. Data Storage & Security

We take data security seriously and implement multiple layers of protection:

  • Local Encryption: All attendance data is encrypted on your device using AES-256 before being stored locally. The encryption key is secured using the platform's hardware-backed keystore (Secure Enclave / TEE).
  • Cloud Storage: Your profile information (name, email, college) is stored in Supabase with Row-Level Security enabled. Each user can only access their own data.
  • Backups: When you export a backup, the exported JSON file is unencrypted by design so you can view it. Store backup files on your own secure storage.
  • Transmission: All network communication uses TLS 1.3 encryption.
Indian IT Act ComplianceOur encryption practices align with the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000, and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing data handling:

  • Supabase: Used for authentication and cloud sync of profile data. Data is stored on servers in the Indian region. Supabase Privacy Policy
  • Firebase (Google): Used for push notifications (FCM), crash reporting, and anonymous analytics. Firebase Privacy Policy
  • Expo: Used for local notifications and development tooling. Expo Privacy Policy
  • Google Drive API: Used only if you choose to back up or restore data via Google Drive. No automatic syncing occurs.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for their marketing purposes.

5. Push Notifications

We offer a daily reminder notification at 5 PM to help you mark attendance. This feature:

  • Is completely optional and disabled by default
  • Can be enabled or disabled anytime from Settings within the app
  • Only uses local notifications scheduled on your device (no data leaves your phone for reminders)
  • For promotional offers, we may use Firebase Cloud Messaging — these are rare and you can opt out via device notification settings

6. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Account Data: Retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data from the Settings screen in the app.
  • Attendance Records: Stored locally and synced to your account. Deleted when you delete your account or uninstall the app.
  • Backup Files: Any backup files you export to Google Drive or local storage are your responsibility — we cannot delete them from your personal storage.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Update or correct your profile information anytime from Settings
  • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from Settings (this is irreversible)
  • Data Portability: Export your full attendance data as JSON from the Settings screen

8. Children's Privacy

75Club is intended for college students, typically aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
